Movers and the global village

Movers are undoubtedly a symptom of the evolution of the global village. It's a wake up call to the fact that we in this world are no longer separate nations and geographical entities but rather one large family. In the manner that one visits family, or leaves home to stay with relatives, so the movers move around the globe for a variety of reasons. Indeed some movers actually relocate to be with family, while others move simply to find better job opportunities. A number of fortunate first western world people retire and then metamorphose into movers. The reason is that they wish to improve their quality of life by moving away from the cold into the sun. Take for example all the British pensioners who take their savings and move off to Spain and Portugal just to bathe in the sun. They have the means, so why shouldn't they get the opportunity to enjoy the last third of their lives in more comfortable surroundings. Many movers are also animals. They too are movers and move from the
cold surrounding to warmer environments; they follow the warm water and the gulf stream out into a preferable habitat. Thus movers come in all shapes and forms and are not just your regular relocating types.
