If You Lose Your Home Your Next Stop Is The Movers
Submitted by ralph on Mon, 03/10/2008 - 20:28.When your home is lost to you you of course need to find another home and usually quickly. That means that you are going to have to use movers to get you and your possessions to that new home. Movers are therefore doing quite well these days since there are so many homes that are being left for new homes.
Movers are clearly benefiting from this downturn the economic picture that is based mostly on the failures of the subprime mortgages causing people to leave their homes in droves. Now that this is the situation, there are more and more movers that being put to work to move these families as they take up their old roots and plant new ones in new communities.
Now might be a really good time to look into the possibility of investing in the business of movers since they are now so much in demand these days. Although most families are no longer able to stay in their present homes they are still able to find new ones and pay movers to move them to them. That means a business boom for movers.
To call or not to call moving companies
Submitted by ralph on Mon, 03/10/2008 - 20:27.On considering a plan to move or relocate home you often have the feeling that in regard to moving companies you stand before two options solely. Should you take on the moving companies which of course are expensive or should you undertake the project on your own and make yourself your own moving company. When you decide between moving companies and yourself you are obviously considering the tremendous amount of money you are going to save. But are you? Of course your approach to moving companies is almost an approach lacking knowledge as you don't usually view moving companies as providing professional services but rather something that anyone can do once you've got the right sized truck of course. Another item which deters you from hiring moving companies is your fear that they have hidden fees which will turn up once you've made the deal and at the end of the service, and of course this includes huge tips which you're obviously scared of. Some of these fears might hold elem!
ents of
truth, but when you hire moving companies you are getting a professional service, which includes men or machines to do all the heavy lifting. Not everything can be calculated in cash.
When moving companies don't deliver the goods
Submitted by ralph on Fri, 02/15/2008 - 18:00.It might sound like some ludicrous situation, but what do the clients do if the moving companies don't deliver the goods? According to the complaints' sites, this is not an uncommon occurrence. People have begun complaining that they ordered goods to be delivered by various moving companies, and the result was that the goods never arrived. Naturally the client refers back to the moving companies involved and demands to know the reason for this action, or lack of action. You'll find this hard to believe, but a number of moving companies have simply denied ever receiving such delivery notices – this is of course after they had previously pocketed the cash. At no point in the entire delivery process, did the particular customer we interviewed, ever receive the status of his goods. In actual fact the goods in this case did eventually arrive, but with after a two-day late delivery. The customer claimed that despite all his actions and complaints he never received any for of compens!
ation
from the moving companies involved. Furthermore, even when the goods did arrive, nobody called or faxed the client to tell him that the moving companies had at last delivered the goods and that he could go and collect them.
Movers and political friction
Submitted by ralph on Thu, 02/07/2008 - 01:04.A number of complaints have been accruing lately concerning movers and political friction in various countries. It seems to be that certain movers who were conveying freight in a number of Arab countries had got into political arguments with locals. Obviously everybody holds views about various political items and clearly people must discuss and talk, but when do these discussions become overheated? One thing is clear: the movers, who cross borders into other countries, in this case into Arab countries, should be forewarned not to get into radical debates. Movers not only represent their countries of origin but also have the good name of their company to consider. If they get into serious political arguments there could be consequences for the company. For example, business ties could be broken and economic consequences could cause havoc for the various companies involved. It seems that the time has come to inform movers that their job of transportation is of the highest priority
once they are on the road, and that any discussion with locals could result in bad business for the companies. Movers who break this standard of behavior should be punished in some manner. Perhaps they should not be sent abroad as drivers for a specific period of time.
Movers and caffeine
Submitted by ralph on Thu, 02/07/2008 - 01:00.Last year a number of experiments were carried out on movers to see how caffeine can affect their quality of work and work ability. There seems to be a definite association between the amount of work movers can do and their caffeine input. In other words movers who drink large amounts of coffee or tea seem to be able to raise their work ability and keep to a good quality of work. On the other hand movers who do not drink beverages containing caffeine seem to be able to work robustly for fewer hours and produce more inferior work. However, the research found it very hard to determine how much caffeine movers should actually imbibe in order to show enhanced results. It now appears that further follow up research will have to be carried out to really be able to assess caffeine quantities for individual movers. The problem is that the caffeine intake for movers is different for each subject, although the researchers do claim that an average caffeine intake could be arrived at with a
sample movers population. The results would obviously lead t the conclusion that movers should be prepared to drink specified quantities of tea or coffee, or both beverages in order to satisfy their bosses. Does that mean that people who don't drink coffee or tea cannot be accepted as movers?
